Cinballera Salon on February 19 - Songs of Romance!

Our first ever Cinballera Salon: Opera at the Villa will take place on February 19, the third Monday of the month, which happens to be Presidents Day. Spend the holiday with us at the historic Villa Montezuma.

The event starts at 7 PM and will end around 9 PM.

In honor of St. Valentine's Day, the theme of this Salon will be Songs of Romance. Seven singers will present arias, duets, and trios about romance, flirtation, and true love from some of the most beautiful operas ever written. In keeping with the gracious history of this building, we encourage our guests to use this as an excuse to dress up for an evening out! Gentlemen, dust off your favorite suit and tie, and ladies, here's a chance to wear that dress and hat you've been saving! In keeping with the theme, the suggested style guide is red and black, the colors of romance. We'll give a little prize to the most elegant audience member!

There are no tickets to these events; you can gain entry with a donation. All the proceeds will be split by the two non-profit organizations, Cinballera and Friends of the Villa Montezuma, Inc, to maintain the historically significant structure as well as compensate the talent. The suggested minimum donation is $25.

Cinballera is honored to co-present this event with our gracious host, the historic Villa Montezuma Museum at 1925 K Street, San Diego in the historic Sherman Heights Historic District at the corner of 20th and K Streets. The house is located in a residential neighborhood with free street parking. Because of its antique plumbing, there are no public restrooms in the Villa, so please try to plan accordingly.

The beautiful music room in which the Salon takes place is very intimate, so seating is limited to 35-40 people. Please reserve your spot in advance if possible, but we'll take as many walk-ins as we can fit!
