Artful Start: Back to School at California Center for the Arts, Escondido

Get ready for the school year with creativity, confidence, and community at Artful Start: Back-to-School! This free event invites K–12 students in need to enjoy a fun-filled afternoon filled with hands-on arts activities, helpful resources, and back-to-school essentials.

We believe the arts have the power to connect, uplift, and inspire people of all ages. By providing accessible, engaging experiences, we hope to welcome more students into the creative world and support their potential as they head into the new school year.

Event Highlights:

• Free Art-Filled Backpacks
  Every student will receive a bag filled with quality art supplies, school supplies, food vouchers and more!
• Complimentary Haircuts
  Students can start the year fresh with a free haircut—because creativity comes in all forms, including personal style.
• Community Art Lab
  Participate in hands-on art projects and take home your own masterpiece! All students will also receive a free annual museum pass.
• Local Resource Fair
  Meet local businesses and community organizations offering valuable services and support for students and families.
