Welk Resorts Closes THE PIRATES OF PENZANCE May 2

The Welk Resorts will close THE PIRATES OF PENZANCE starring Richard Bermudez, Karenssa LeGear, Randall Dodge, Sue Goodman and BArt Williams on May 2, 2010.

The Pirates of Penzance is a hilarious and frenetic romp featuring swashbuckling, handsome pirates, beautiful maidens and bumbling Keystone Cops. A young lad is apprenticed to a Pilot; however, being hard of the nursemaid Ruth apprentices him to a PIRATE. Upon reaching his 21st birthday, the lad decides to leave the Pirate Group and extinguish them all due to his hatred of their lifestyle. The Pirate King comes up with a devilish plan to keep him as apprentice by devising the story that he was born on February 29th during leap year; making him only 5 and a quarter years old.

This classic comic operetta features some of the best voices in Southern California and will leave you rolling in the aisles and your mouth agape from some of the most beautiful harmonies ever!
