Video: First Look at SEUSSICAL at San Diego Musical Theatre

San Diego Musical Theatre has released first look footage of SEUSSICAL, Lynn Ahrens and Stephen Flaherty's fantastical musical extravaganza, now playing through June 7, 2026 at SDMT Stage.
Co-directed by Van Angelo and Xavier J. Bush, with Angelo also serving as music director and Bush as choreographer, the show follows the Cat in the Hat as he narrates the story of Horton the Elephant, who discovers a speck of dust containing the Whos and must protect them against a world of naysayers while also guarding an abandoned egg left in his care by the irresponsible Mayzie La Bird.
Cameron Blankenship leads the cast as the Cat in the Hat, with Jordan Brownlee as Horton, Christopher Smyres as Jojo, Jasmine January as Gertrude McFuzz, Dacara Seward as Mayzie La Bird, Carjanae Evans as Sour Kangaroo, Nick Siljander as Mr. Mayor, Alyssa Lucero Vingerelli as Mrs. Mayor, and Mikaela Rae Macias as General Genghis Khan Schmitz. The cast also includes Arden Johnson as Cindy Lou Who, Hank Gilchrist as Thing 1, and Kalia Concepcion as Thing 2, among a full ensemble.
