Think Pink! Kelrik Productions Brings PINKALICIOUS The Musical to San Diego's Lyceum Space Theatre

Tickets are now on sale for Kelrik Productions' PINKALICIOUS THE MUSICAL, playing April 28 - May 6 at the Lyceum Space Theatre, 79 Horton Plaza, San Diego. Based on the 2006 New York Times best-selling children's book by Victoria and Elizabeth Kann, PINKALICIOUS, is the tale of a girl who can't stop eating pink cupcakes despite her parents' warnings about the dangers of over-indulgence. Her passion for pink lands her at the doctor's office with pinkititis, an affliction that turns her pink from head to toe -- a dream come true for this pink-loving enthusiast. But when her hue goes too far, only Pinkalicious can figure a way out of her predicament.

PINKALICIOUS THE MUSICAL is directed by Kelrik Artistic Director Erik Austin, choreographed by Nicole Marie McEntee, musically directed by Charles Glaudini with stage management by Rita Navarro and costumes by Kelley James. Following last year's Sold-Out performances in Los Angeles, Kelrik is excited to bring PINKALICIOUS, our pink loving enthusiast, with an outstanding San Diego cast to the Lyceum Space Theatre. According to Austin, "Pinkalicious is not just a really fun musical; it teaches children valuable lessons about self control and the importance of moderation. As someone who has been passionate about theatre since I was a kid, I am thrilled that we can offer San Diegans this new show in a fully realized stage production. It's a great opportunity to introduce young people to the magic of live theatre. You can't ask for more than that."

The all adult cast includes Lauren Ashley in the title role of Pinkalicious, Kyler Waitley as Peter, Kylie Harper and Edgar Diaz-Gutierrez as Mr. & Mrs. Pinkerton, Tara Sampson as Dr. Wink and Sara Mahaffey as Alison. The cast is completed with a fun ensemble including Doniella Mae Sebastian, Olivia Gale Berger and Andrew Paiva portraying Birds, Bees and Butterflies.

This fun-filled family show runs approximately 65 minutes which makes it ideal for younger children. We feature a colorful cast of characters and audience participation/interaction. Reservations are strongly recommended.

Tickets to PINKALICIOUS THE MUSICAL can be purchased online at www.kelrikproductions.org or by phone at (619) 544 - 1000. Please note the family-friendly performance schedule: Saturday matinees at 1PM and 3PM, with Sundays at 3PM. Ticket prices range from $25 - $49.
