Moonlight Stage Productions to Present BLITHE SPIRIT at AVO Playhouse, Begin. 2/20

BLITHE SPIRIT, one of Noël Coward's most celebrated comedies, continues Moonlight Stage Productions' 2014 Winter Season at the AVO Playhouse with performances from February 20 to March 9. Written in the shadow of WWII, Coward's comedy is a hilarious battle of wits and has enjoyed recent popularity with a 2009 Broadway revival.

In BLITHE SPIRIT, novelist Charles Condomine, living with his second wife, Ruth, invites a local medium, Madame Arcati, to his house. His intention is to do some research into the spirit world for his new book. But he gets more than he bargained for when Arcati conjures up the ghost of Charles' first wife, Elvira. Caught between one live wife and one dead wife - both jealous of the other - Charles must figure out how to entertain his ethereal house guest without stepping outside of matrimonial bounds. Trying to keep everyone happy is a hilarious challenge. Coward's script is full of laser sharp wit and brilliant dialogue.

Eric Bishop directs a cast that features Paul Morgavo (Charles Condomine), Stacy Huntington (Ruth Condomine), Jacque Wilke (Elvira), Dagmar Krause Fields (Madame Arcati), Sherri Allen (Mrs. Violet Bradman), Taylor Bassett (Dr. George Bradman), and Li-Anne Rowswell (Edith). The production team includes N. Dixon Fish (Scenic Designer), Ashley Jenks (Lighting Designer), Jim Zadai (Sound Design), and Roslyn Lehman and Renetta Lloyd (Costume Design), and Eden Michel (Stage Manager).
