San Diego singer Karen Giorgio will make her Desert debut in a new one-woman cabaret style concert at a 2 PM matinee performance onSunday, June 23rd at Arthur Newman Theatre in The Joslyn Center Theater in Palm Desert. The show evolves around Karen's antics on stage and episodes in her life, which resulted in her sub-titling it "Confessions of a globe-trotting songtress" and features standards and jazz tunes from the Great American Songbook, Broadway, and movie musicals.

Formerly a traveling performer, Ms. Giorgio is now a regular staple in and around the San Diego entertainment scene, as well as Los Angeles. She is used to playing piano and singing piano bar style but with this show Karen will be joined by noted musical director Shelly Markham, who is well-known for his contributions to numerous musicals as well as long-time pianist to a roster of singers such as Andrea Marcovicci, making Shelly an avid globe-trotter himself.

Karen Giorgio in "Trains & Boats & Plains, Oh My! Confessions of a globe-trotting songstress on Sunday, June 23rd at 2, is being presented by Les Michaels as part of the Life Is A Cabaret Sundays In Summer Series and The Joslyn Center.
