Based on the true chronicles of NPR comic genius David Sedaris's experience in Macy's Santaland display, this cult classic riffs on a few of his truly odd encounters with his fellow man during the height of the holiday crunch. John Stillwaggon returns as Sedaris's not so merry alter ego Crumpet the Elf. The play contains mature content and is not recommended for children.

Amarillo Symphony Executive Director Corey Cowart To Lead San Antonio Symphony

The Amarillo Symphony announced today that Corey Cowart, its Executive Director, will step down from his role in December to join the San Antonio Symphony as Executive Director.  Cowart, who has been leading the organization since June 2015, will begin his new post in January 2019.

"Weird Al" Yankovic has just announced his 2019 Strings Attached tour - a high-energy, rock and comedy show featuring costumes, props, a video wall, and - for the first time - a full orchestra. The tour includes a stop at the Majestic Theatre (224 E. Houston St.) in San Antonio, TX on June 16, 2019 at 8PM. Tickets go on sale this Friday, November 16 at 10AM.
THE WAR BRIDE: An Interactive Headphone Opera Will Premiere At Luminaria Festival

Mexican-American composer, Nathan Felix, will use headphones to present his new opera titled, The War Bride, at Luminaria Contemporary Arts Festival in San Antonio Texas. Two performances will occur today November 10th starting at 7:30pm and 8:30pm in Hemisfair Park. Felix is known for his guerilla style approach in presenting classical music in unconventional spaces and The War Bride is given no exception, with a performance outside along the riverwalk at Hemisfair Park.

SCHOOL OF ROCK had its first success as a movie starring Jack Black and everyone routed for the underdog, Dewey Finn, as he fumbled his way through life. Fast forward to 2015 and SCHOOL OF ROCK becomes a rock musical on Broadway with music by Andrew Lloyd Webber, lyrics by Glenn Slater and a book by Julian Fellowes. It's still based on the life of underdog, Dewey Finn as he fumbles his way through life.
