Theatre of San Antonio Announces 2016-17 Season: PASSAGES

The Classic Theatre of San Antonio - a local, non-profit, small professional theatre creates excellent that that is relevant, diverse, entertaining and transformative, and with community involvement and support, The Classic seeks to create connections and conversations about what it means to be human in the 21st century, through compelling classic work.

Passages-as defined by Merriam-Webster is "a narrow space that people or things can move through" or "an act of moving or passing from one place or state to another." Join The Classic Theatre of San Antonio this season as they take four separate passages and visit a house, a school, an island, and a bus stop, starting with The House on Mango Street adapted from Sandra Cisneros' book by Amy Ludwig.

Following the opening production of The House on Mango Street directed by Jose Ruben De Leon, and running 9/2-25, The Classic Theatre will be producing School for Scandal directed by co-founder Diane Malone, running 11/4-27, The Tempest directed by Mark McCarver, 2/17-3/12/2017, and Bus Stop directed by Executive Director Kelly Roush, 5/5-28, 2017. Mark your calendars and join us as we travel with us from a house, to a school, to an island, to a bus stop!

Season Passes are currently on sale. Each season pass includes 4 tickets to any show in the season line-up. You may use all four passes for one show, or use them throughout the season, using each ticket separately. A season pass starts at $90, and there are discount passes available for seniors, military and educators.

Show times are Fridays and Saturdays at 8 p.m. and Sundays at 3 p.m. Shows are held at the The Classic Theatre located at 1924 Fredericksburg Rd. The theatre has handicap accessibility.
