Josh and Alex, a loving married couple in an open relationship, are soon to be parents through a surrogate. When Josh becomes romantically entangled with Darius, the men must individually define what love, loyalty, and trust means.
The insightful drama AFTERGLOW explores gay intimacy, and audiences will find it easy to identify with aspects of each of the three characters when commitments are challenged and futures questioned.
Utah Rep boldly produces the regional premiere of this sensual drama, following its runaway hit off-Broadway staging. “A steamy, stripped-down look at gay intimacy,” reviewed the Huffington Post. “Inherently watchable, well-paced, and compelling.” AFTERGLOW is timely and relevant in its exploration of relationships in the changing and re-defining aspects of relationships in today's world. This will be the first regional production of “Afterglow,” since it closed its off-Broadway run August 12.
Running Time: 90 minutes, no intermission
Content Advisory: Recommended for mature audiences. Contains significant nudity, explicit sexual content, and strong language. Patrons 17 and under require parent or guardian. No babes-in-arms. All patrons must have a ticket.
