The Grand Theatre Community Institute and SLCC Arts Presents 8th Annual MESSIAH 12/10-14

This unique Holiday event is a soulful celebration with Handel's traditional arrangements infused with the spirit of Gospel. The concert features an 18 piece orchestra.

"This is our Eighth year presenting the event", indicated Richard Scott producer, "and in recent years the music has evolved into a more non-traditional sound with a jazz/gospel/pop sound, but still rooted in the Baroque tradition. It truly has become a unique sound and wonderful holiday event.

As always the event features the SLCC Concert Choir, local soloists including Ginger Bess , Kelly Griffiths Dee-Dee Darby Duffin and a community Gospel Choir. Narrators will include Rev. France Davis, Ms. Marian Howe Taylor, Rev. Tom Goldsmith, Mr. David Ibarra and others.

Choirs will be conducted by Anthony Bennett and SLCC Choir Director Lyle Archibald.
