PTC Announces Auditions for EMMA

Auditions for PTC's production of Emma by Jon Jory (and based on the novel by Jane Austen) will be held on Thursday, November 3, 2011, from 12:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Callbacks are scheduled for Friday, November 4, 2011; that time will be announced to auditioners who are called back.

Audition slots from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. on November 3 are for Actors' Equity members only. Audition slots from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. are open to all auditioners. The audition slots are limited to five minutes.

Non-AEA auditioners must come in to sign up on the callboard in Room 325 at the Roy W. and Elizabeth E. Simmons Pioneer Memorial Theatre; that sign-up will be posted at noon on Thursday, October 27. AEA members ONLY may contact ElizaBeth Williamson at elizabeth.williamson@ptc.utah.edu to sign up no earlier than Thursday, October, 27.

All auditioners will be asked to read from the script. Sides from the play will be available when auditioners sign-up. Auditions will be held in Room 245 at Simmons Pioneer Memorial Theatre. Rehearsal dates for the production are Monday, January 23, 2012 - Thursday, February 16, 2012; performance dates are February 17, 2012 - March 3, 2012. Guest director Matthew Arbour will direct the production.

Roles are for 6 females and 5 males; all auditioners must be 18 or older.
