N'Kenge Returns to Utah Symphony in BROADWAY DIVAS

Known for her powerful and riveting vocals, Symphony Siren and Broadway Diva N'Kenge (Motown: The Musical and Sondheim and Sondheim) performs alongside Christina Bianco, Kristen Plumley, and Christina DeCicco in the Broadway Divas concert. With Maestro Jack Everly at the helm, these stunning ladies will be joined by the Utah Symphony. This showdown of the Stars will happen 7:30 PM on October 27 and again 28, 2017 at Abravanel Hall in Salt Lake City.

Having performed under Everly's baton before alongside Baltimore Symphony, Indianapolis Symphony, Cleveland Orchestra, and NAC Orchestra, N'Kenge is ecstatic to return to Utah and join Maestro Everly in an astounding evening with selections from Les Misérables, Dreamgirls, My Fair Lady, West Side Story, and Chicago.

Not to be missed, N'Kenge is known to have audiences rising to their feet once their ears have witnessed this Diva's vocal ability. N'Kenge will perform audience favorites like "Summertime", "And I Am Telling You" from Dreamgirls and more. N'Kenge will continue her symphony tour this season as a soloist with Dayton Symphony, Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra and premieres her one woman show "LEGENDS- Puccini to Proud Mary" with Jacksonville Symphony.

The NY Post called N'Kenge "Electrifying" in the role of Mary Wells that she originated in Broadway's Smash Hit Motown: The Musical. N'Kenge made her Broadway debut in Sondheim on Sondheim alongside the great Barbara Cook, Vanessa Williams, Norm Lewis and Tom Wopat which was directed by Pulitzer Prize winner James Lapine. In London, N'Kenge made her West End debut starring in The Genius of Ray Charles. She was hailed by NY Times as "a classically trained diva that can stretch from Broadway, Pop, Soul to Opera". N'Kenge starred in the Michael Jackson Tribute Show World Tour and has also been seen as a soloist with Houston Symphony, Cincinnati Symphony, Detroit Symphony to name a few.

This October, N'Kenge will headline a private industry reading of the new Broadway-aimed musical DANGEROUS at New York's prestigious 54 Below. Set in the 1930's, the musical by John C. Introcaso and Michael Colby, is filled with suspense romance and mystery. Directed by Denis Jones and Music Supervision and Arrangements by Phil Reno.
