In October 1998 Matthew Shepard was kidnapped, severely beaten and left to die, tied to a fence on the outskirts of Laramie, Wyoming. Five weeks later, Moisés Kaufman and fellow members of the Tectonic Theater Project went to Laramie, and over the course of the next year, conducted more than 200 interviews with people of the town. From these interviews they wrote the play The Laramie Project, a chronicle of the life of the town of Laramie in the year after the murder.
Come support the brave and talented students of Florin High School Theatre as they tackle this tough, yet devastatingly beautiful show.
Dates:
November 12th - 14th and 19th-20th at 7 PM
and November 14th at 2 PM.
Tickets are $8 General Admission and $6 with your ASB card. Tickets are sold at the door, cash only please.
Arrive a half hour early to each performance to see our special interview video!
The theatre is accessed by entering the main parking lot and is located next to the Commons and Gym.
