"Boris Godunov" - a work still excites us , making you worry , meditate. Opera on the crisis - and it is inherent in the story . We are talking about a crisis in relations between the authorities and the people, prompted by a change of the dynasty - as a result of people no longer trust the government and respect her. I would like to play our characters were recognizable to the front of the auditorium turned living history. Not limited by any timeframe , telling not only about Boris Godunov , who was , but also about Boris Godunov , who will .
It's such a dystopia . There is no specific time - this hypothetical future , which may occur during the development of certain circumstances.
Structure, which you see on the stage , do not exist - it invented the art object . Features of this architecture can be found in ancient temples , fortresses , but you can in the modern industrial design. We often happened that the church did warehouse and kindergarten - shop. Characters of the opera - live forever , always changing , and if so - you need on stage somehow correspond to what happens in the world , in our lives. Today it's hard to imagine people in fur coats and hats , which pass from the Assumption Cathedral in Arkhangelsk and back to the Assumption , and the whole pathos brilliant opera goes into circulation and is shaking beards. For me it's a sham , a lie. There is another option " of hiding " - put all jeans , hand on the laptop and make a slice of life - a newspaper, "Euronews" . I also seem unconvincing. In preparing the play I had no problem to shock . It is possible that in the course of the works and performances during rehearsals there were some episodes that can be interpreted as shocking . But they were born an attempt to make the most powerful artistic impression , come to the point in the search for meaning .
