‘PUNCH Kamikaze’ is the term we coined for when artists of various styles and puppet experience are assigned scenes from a play and then we present the pieces in order. No limitation is given on interpretation or puppet style used. This time we are tackling Alfred Jarry’s absurdist masterpiece UBU ROI, which was met with riots when it originally premiered in 1896. It is a bawdy and rude dissection of power, greed, and the evil they engender. We think it will be cast in the current White House quite nicely!
