Dave Matthews Band formed in Charlottesville, Virginia, in early 1991 when vocalist/guitarist Dave Matthews decided to put some songs he had written on tape. Instead of simply recording himself with a guitar, he opted to bring in some instrumental help to give his musical ideas more depth.
What followed is an incredible musical career spanning over twenty years and counting, numerous prestigious awards and nominations including a Grammy Award win and fourteen nominations.
The band are currently working on their ninth studio record, so expect a couple of newer tracks to get an airing on this tour. They'll be surrounded by an absolutely bucket load of fan favourites, with the band promising lengthy, career-spanning setlists.
Bethel Woods Center for the Arts is at 200 Hurd Road, Bethel, NY.
