In celebration of their 16th Anniversary, the White Plains Performing Arts Center presents An Evening With Lainie Kazan for one performance only on Saturday, November 9, at 8pm. Spend an evening laughing and toe-tapping with one funny lady while celebrating the White Plains Performing Arts Center. In this hilarious one-woman show, Oscar and Tony Award-nominated songstress Lainie Kazan uses songs to talk about her life, her loves, and her career including Broadway (Funny Girl), television (The Nanny, Desperate Housewives, King of Queens), movies (My Favorite Year, Beaches, My Big Fat Greek Wedding), and her years running the Playboy Club nightclubs across the country. Lanie Kazan:Multi-award winner in film, television and stage; Lainie began her career as Barbra Streisands understudy in the Broadway production of Funny Girl. She has appeared in NYC nightclubs and as a guest on virtually every top variety and talk show on television. Some of her film credits include Beaches and My Big Fat Greek Wedding 1 and 2. Television credits include recurring roles on The Nanny, Desperate Housewives and King of Queens.

What is the history of White Plains Performing Arts Center ?
Through a combination of self-produced, professional theatrical productions as well as presentation of nationally and internationally known performing artists and companies in the disciplines of theatre, dance, music, stand-up comedy and children’s programming; WPPAC provides residents of White Plains and the surrounding communities an easily accessible, intimate and comfortable setting to see LIVE entertainment in the heart of Westchester County. The theater also provides a professional space for rentals to local arts and educational organizations, special interest groups and businesses to present their own performances and host meetings for a reasonable rate with the assistance of a professional staff. These organizations not only secure a professional venue for their event but also provide a diverse roster of artists and opportunities for many culturally specific communities. In addition, the White Plains Performing Arts Center’s EDUCATION DEPARTMENT is the ONLY educational theatre program in residence at a professional theatre in all of Westchester. The Education Department is a professional training and presentation program offered year-round for all theatrical artists between the ages of 10-25.
