The White Plains Performing Arts Center play reading series that features the Tony Award-winners for "Best Play" since the award's creation in 1948 continues with this months' reading of Francis Goodrich & Albert Hackett's THE DIARY OF ANNE FRANK tonight, November 20 at 8:00 pm. Tickets are $10 each. The Nakd Stage Play Reading Series features actors with scripts in hand, no sets, costumes or props. IT'S ALL ABOUT THE WORDS.

Adapted from Anne Frank: The Diary of a Young Girl, edited by Otto Frank. Winner of the 1956 Pulitzer Prize, Tony Award, Critics Circle Award, and virtually every other coveted prize of the theatre. Very few plays have moved the Broadway critics to write such glowing notices, receiving the unanimous acclaim of all the top New York reviewers. The NY Times said, "A lovely tender drama...Strange how the shining spirit of a young girl now dead can filter down through the years and inspire a group of theatrical professionals in a foreign land."

The cast includes Amanda Renee Baker, Michael Carlin, David Gold, Ties Jansen, Maiysha Jones, Jeff Raab, Larry Reina, Betsy Simpson, Rrita Toka and Casey O'Donnell as Anne.

This staged reading of The Diary of Anne Frank is directed by Ariana Moses.

Join us as we rekindle memories of great, award-winning plays and focus on the powerful words and intentions of amazing playwrights.

The performances are at the White Plains theatre, located on the third level of City Center off Mamaroneck Avenue in downtown White Plains.
