Local non-profit theater group The Hope Players announces their 6th annual Concert for a Cure series, Laughter is the Best Medicine, which will feature two evenings of hilarious song and dance. The group is a subsidiary of The Hope for Change Foundation (HFC) - a Westchester-based non-profit organization that raises money for breast cancer research through theatrical endeavors.

Over the past few years, HFC has donated $25,000 to breast cancer research projects throughout Westchester, including White Plains Hospital. The most recent research program at White Plains is focused on both the physical and mental wellness of those diagnosed with breast cancer. HFC has decided to select patient focused studies because of their ability to directly impact those in the Westchester community.

Performances will be held on Friday, April 10th and Saturday, April 11th at 8:00pm at The Westchester Sandbox Theatre, located at 931 East Boston Post Road in Mamaroneck, NY.

Tickets are $15 in advance, and $20 at the door. To purchase advance tickets, call 914-206-9617 or buy online at http://tickets.hopeforchange.org/. Online donations are also possible by visiting http://www.hopeforchange.org/support/.

Laughter is the Best Medicine is directed by Jason Summers, music directed by Brett Pontecorvo, and produced by Alyssa Manning Lacoff and Gina Noto. The cast features local talent from Westchester including Erica Ackerman, Peter Ackerman, Jessica Bittner, Serina Congionti, Steve DiNardo, Alyssa Manning Lacoff, BJ Markus, Dakota Martin, Michael Minecola, Sarah Paige Morris, Jennifer Morvillo, Chris Nardi, Robyn O'Brien, Chris Oldi, Frank Riccobono, and Kaitlyn Stoltze.

"We are so fortunate to still be able to produce shows after all these years that not only provide entertainment to our community but support a great cause" said Gina Noto, President of the Hope For Change Foundation. "It's great to have some familiar faces back on the Hope stage, donating their time and sharing their talents with our organization."
