SOOP Theatre Company Celebrates New Home
![]()
SOOP Theatre Company, a mainstay in Westchester's theatrical arts community, has leased a new, 2500 square foot studio space at 530 Fifth Avenue. 530 Studios, located just minutes from the Pelham train station, features a large rehearsal room and four smaller studios for private voice, piano and one-on-one teacher / student instruction, and will host rehearsals, classes, and workshops for kids of all ages throughout lower Westchester County.
530 Studios will inaugurate its new home this April with a brand-new Preschool program, SOOP N' CRACKERS, geared for ages 3-5. Combining story-telling with creative and imaginative play, SOOP N' CRACKERS is the perfect setting to introduce little ones to the joy of theater.
All currently scheduled workshops and classes will continue to be held at The Manor Club through June. Starting in the fall of 2019, all K-8 workshops, rehearsals for mainstage productions and all other classes and programs will be held in the new 530 Studios location.
Beginning in July 2019, 530 Studios will offer mini-camps exclusively in its new space, including CUPPA SOUP:
Grades K-2: a 15-hour, week-long workshop focusing on a different play each week, to expand young imaginations through exercise and interactive theatre games.
Grades 3-8: a 20-hour, week-long workshop focusing on ensemble-building, character development and creative collaboration, culminating in a family-friendly performance at 530 Studios in a supportive, low-pressure environment.
Dates and pricing for additional new programs will be announced shortly. Visit www.sooptheatre.org for info.
