CABARET ON THE HUDSON Music Series to Feature Broadway's Original 'Sandy' from GREASE

Carole Demas, Broadway's original "Sandy" in GREASE, has joined NiCori Studios and Productions and Irvington Town Hall Theater's fourth performance in the Cabaret on the Hudson series.

The performance will be held on Monday, April 13 at 8pm. Cabaret on the Hudson is a series that features three outstanding cabaret performers or small groups, each bringing a 25 minute sampling of their New York City cabaret shows to Westchester, NY. Many of the performers are Broadway veterans and have performed in New York City venues such as 54 BELOW, the Oak Room at the Algonquin, Birdland, Feinstein's at Loews Regency, Iridium, the Metropolitan Room and Jazz at Lincoln Center to name a few. Cabaret on the Hudson will be hosted by multi-nominated Cabaret singer and host of the Music at the Mansion series, Corinna Sowers Adler and will feature Benet Braun on piano.

Cabaret on the Hudson will run on four Mondays for the 2014 - 2015 season: October 27, December 8, February 16 and April 13. The featured artists for theApril 13 performance will be Shana Farr, Devin Bing and Carole Demas.

Actor/singer Shana Farr has performed leading roles at New York City Center, Pittsburgh Civic Light Opera, York Theatre Company, the McCarter Theater and beyond. Her supper club shows have been applauded amongst the top rooms in New York and London including Feinstein's at The Regency, 54 Below and Crazy Coqs. She has performed at the Mabel Mercer Foundation's Cabaret Convention at Jazz at Lincoln Center where she received the 2012 Julie Wilson Award. Just recently she took home a Bistro Award for her solo show In The Still of The Night and her CD titled Out Of The Shadows was released to international acclaim. This spring, the First Annual Shana Farr Cabaret Competition will be taking place during one of New York City's famous street festivals. Crooner and composer, piano man and performer, Devin Bing moves audiences with a combination of vintage flare and contemporary showmanship. Whether he's seated behind the grand piano or fronting his band "The Secret Service," Bing captivates the eyes and ears of every person in the room. After opening multiple shows for Loyd Price, legendary music icon, Rock & Roll Hall of Fame inductee and singer of such hits as Personality, Lawdy Ms. Clawdy and Stagger Lee, Bing caught the attention of some of the industries elite - Most notably, world-renowned producer, Phil Ramone.

In addition to Loyd Price, Bing has shared the stage with such jazz greats as Kurt Elling, Jon Secada and Kevin Mahogany.

Carole Demas's 55 year career includes her creation of "Sandy" in Broadway's original Grease- and thousands of leading role performances on and Off-Bway (including two years as "Luisa" in The Fantasticks NYC) and regional theater (ACT, Seattle; Penn State Rep, Milwaukee Rep, others). She originated The Baker's Wife title role in LA; Champlain and NY Shakespeare Festivals soloist. Series hostess, singer/actress Corinna Sowers Adler, has been nominated as "Best Host of a Variety Show" and "Best Female Vocalist" for the 2012 and 2014 Broadway World Cabaret Awards. Sowers Adler was a featured soloist at the 25th Annual New York Cabaret Convention held in the Rose Theater of Jazz at Lincoln Center on October 21, 2014. She recently made her solo debut at BROADWAY's Supper Club - 54 BELOW. Corinna has also toured and performed her solo cabaret shows Stories, By Request, Songs From the Heart and Let Me Sing and I'm Happy at venues in New York City, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and Florida. She most recently performed Let Me Sing and I'm Happy at the Metropolitan Room in New York City to rave reviews.

Audiences are invited to arrive in Irvington early to make it a true experience of dinner and cabaret in one evening. Some Irvington Eateries such as MP Taverna and Chutney Masala are offering specials for patrons who have pre-purchased tickets.
