The production combines two of Poe's most chilling tales: The Tell-Tale Heart, in which an irrational obsession drives a nervous caregiver to madness, and The Cask of Amontillado, where the aggrieved Montresor lures his rival Fortunato to an untimely fate. Through vivid performance and multiple characters, the Double Header brings Poe's haunting stories to life in an intimate theatrical setting. The tales are brought to life by Scanlon, who most recently directed the Rep's production of Romeo + Juliet.
