THE GETAWAY DRIVER, CYRANO & More Set for Trinity Rep 2026-27 Season

Trinity Repertory Company has announced its 2026-27 season, featuring five subscription productions alongside the company’s 50th anniversary staging of A Christmas Carol. The season represents the final lineup shaped by outgoing artistic director Curt Columbus in collaboration with incoming artistic director Meredith McDonough.

The lineup includes one world premiere, two New England premieres, a work by August Wilson, and a new adaptation of Cyrano de Bergerac. All productions will take place in the Dowling Theater while renovations continue on the company’s Chace Theater.

Columbus said the season reflects Trinity Rep’s ongoing commitment to its resident company, community engagement, and artist-driven storytelling, while McDonough described the lineup as centered on “people owning the power of their voices and opening themselves up to possibility.”

More than 20 years later, she attempts to confront her past while the daughter of the man killed during the robbery seeks her own answers. The production will continue to Central Square Theater and Northern Stage following its Providence run.
