Florida premiere of this comedic original musical!Premiering in 2006 at the American Repertory Theater (A.R.T.) at Harvard University, this is a comedic original musical done with a great deal of heart. This work of fiction, inspired by actual events, utilizes the 1994 Tonya Harding and Nancy Kerrigan media scandal to explore Americas obsession with celebrity scandals and its go for the gold at all cost attitude. With libretto and concept by Elizabeth Searle and music by Michael Teoli, audiences can expect hilarity, poignant moments, a radical score and non-stop energy in this unique theatrical experience. NOTE: This production includes explicit language and adult content.This show has only been presented in Boston, New York and Chicago. About the Theatre
TheatreZone, celebrating its 19th season in 2023-2024, stages its musical productions in the 250-seat G&L Theatre conveniently located in Naples at 13275 Livingston Road, between Pine Ridge and Vanderbilt Beach Roads, in a dedicated building nestled within the campus of the Community School of Naples.
TheatreZone’s contract with the Actors’ Equity Association ensures access to the best actors, singers, dancers, musicians, and stage management professionals from throughout the country. The nonprofit, 501(c)(3) was established in 2005 by Mark Danni and Karen Molnar Danni, who have both enjoyed successful careers on Broadway and Off-Broadway.
