Fool For Love at The Palms Restaurant

The Karma Compound will debut this August with an immersive production of Sam Shepard's Fool for Love at The Palms in Wonder Valley for three nights only.

Originally set in the Mojave Desert, Fool for Love follows two former lovers trapped in an endless cycle of longing, obsession, and self-destruction as their complicated history pulls them back together for one explosive night. Directed by Christi Waldon and featuring Lette Allen (May), Deacon Ledges (Eddie), Michael D. Simpson (Martin), and Kevin Bone (The Old Man), the production transforms The Palms into a living roadside world suspended somewhere between memory and reality.

Audience members are welcomed into the experience from the moment they arrive, with live music, immersive pre-show encounters, and the opportunity to settle in beneath the desert night sky before the story unfolds. This inaugural production offers a uniquely Hi-Desert take on one of Sam Shepard's most celebrated plays.
