Martin McDonagh's corrosively funny black comedy opens with a 1963 prologue showing British executioner Harry Wade at work, hanging a man who dies proclaiming his innocence. The show flashes forward two years, revealing Harry as the second-best hangman in England, where hanging is about to be abolished. Directed by Carl daSilva, the eleven-member cast includes Noah Wagner, Trevor Hart, Karl Schott, Amanda Karr, Allen Sewell, Floyd Harden, James Rice, James Matthis, Dina Hagler, Kolby King, and Ari Hagler. The drama plays out over two days in a pub owned by the country's second-best hangman, culminating in a shocking conclusion.
