It’s been a long time coming; more than 25 months to be exact. That’s how long it has taken Mirvish Productions to confidently declare audiences have returned to live theatre in Toronto — and not just tentatively and in limited numbers, but boldly, loudly, gratefully, joyfully and in large numbers.

The Bolshoi Ballet's production of The Golden Age will delight audiences with a refreshing and colorful dive into the roaring 20's, with a jazzy score by Dmitri Shostakovich and a music-hall atmosphere featuring beautiful tangos. See The Golden Age on the big screen in HD on Sunday, April 14 at 2pm at The Ridgefield Playhouse. This encore screening is part of Atria Senior Living Classical Series with support from Whistle Stop Bakery, underwritten by Jeanne Cook, Liz & Steven Goldstone, and Sabina & Walter Slavin.

Robo & Bash Productions presents ROPE, A Play by Patrick Hamilton, taking place at the Avery Schreiber Playhouse in North Hollywood. Directed by Anna Safar, this production will open December 7th, 2018, and will play Today through Sunday for two weekends, closing December 16th, 2018. Showtime todays and Saturdays will be at 8pm, and Sundays at 7pm.

The 2018/19 Bolshoi Ballet in cinema season showcases some of ballet's greatest classical works performed by the world's finest dancers creating a unique cinematic experience. Four classical ballets (La Sylphide, Don Quixote, La Bayadere and The Sleeping Beauty) will be shown on the big screen alongside the beloved Christmas tale The Nutcracker. The evocative 1920's jazz ballet The Golden Age and Edward Clug's latest choreographic work Petrushka alongside Carmen Suite completes the season.

LA's own Impro Theatre continues their residency at The Edye at The Broad Stage, presenting a different style of their signature improvisation for one weekend, each month. For the penultimate show in their residency, Impro Theatre will pay homage to the genius of the American satirist Dorothy Parker with Dorothy Parker UnScripted (May 18 - 20). Starting with audience suggestions, Impro Theatre picks up Dorothy's comedic scalpel and recreates an impressionistic night of Dorothy-style scenes and observation, reminiscent of the Roaring 20's.
