Leo Brower 2007

About the Album: With some 500 recordings devoted to his work, the great Cuban composer, guitarist, and conductor Leo Brouwer (b. 1939) can proudly look to an impressive panorama of achievements during half a century that gave him the status of a star of a new era for the classical guitar. His works are brilliant and poetic, thoughtful and spontaneous, never ceding to folkloric facility in his deep inspiration of the Cuban soul. Here is a beautiful selection of his work for guitar with accompaniment of orchestra or string quartet. Guitarist Denis Sung-H™ was named the "Rising Star" of the European Concert Hall Organization (ECHO) in 2005-06.
