San Francisco’s Cutting Ball Theatre has scored quite a coup in presenting the world premiere of Utopia, the latest work from Obie-winning playwright Charles L. Mee, available for streaming from October 16th through November 15th. Directed by Ariel craft, who is also Cutting Ball’s Artistic Director, the play is a multidisciplinary fantasia that explores the question “How do you make a life?” Cutting Ball is partnering on the production with RAWdance contemporary dance company, and Creativity Explored which supports artists with developmental disabilities, to create a work that harmonizes theater, dance and animation in a genre-defying dreamscape.  Audiences can stream from home from October 16th through November 15th. According to Variety, Richard Gere will play a media baron in upcoming BBC drama “MotherFatherSon,” the Hollywood star's first TV role in almost three decades. Community, belonging, family-these are three words many people use to describe their experience with community theatre. In the production of Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat at Gettysburg Community Theatre that sense of family is literal. One family has three generations represented on stage--Pat and Dave Conklin, their daughter and son-in-law Carrie and Greg Trax, and their daughters Tessa and Audrey Trax. Before opening night of Joseph, some of the family members were trying to recall when they started performing. Third grader Audrey Trax traced her stage experience back to when she was three years old. For Audrey and Tessa's grandmother, Pat, the answer was easy, as this performance of Joseph is her debut performance.
