A Special Place 1998

About the Album: Jason Fine, critic Rolling Stone Magazine "Sweet - but never saccharine - melodies and arrangements, and lyrics that are witty and fun. Some wonderful vocalists: I particularly enjoyed Rebecca Luker's 'Be My Valentine' and Lillias White's 'A Little Love.' Michael Feingold, The Village Voice "The roster of known quantities, ranging from Lillias White and KT Sullivan to Heather MacRae and soap star Brian Lane Green, is as miscellaneous as Ost's songs, which jump from country rock to old-style show tunes to cabaret style comic patter numbers. He holds his own well in all these and other genres; someone should probably hire him to write a Broadway show."
