WICKED is a Broadway musical with music and lyrics by Stephen Schwartz and a book by Winnie Holzman, based on the novel by Gregory Maguire. The show explores the Land of Oz from a new perspective, following a young woman born with emerald-green skin whose unlikely friendship with a bubbly, popular blonde ultimately leads the world to label one of them good and the other wicked. The production is directed by Tony Award winner Joe Mantello with musical staging by Tony Award winner Wayne Cilento, and features the hit songs Defying Gravity, Popular, and For Good. Currently in its 23rd year on Broadway and the 4th longest-running show in Broadway history, WICKED has been seen by over 72 million people worldwide.
