The DPAC Rising Star Awards will take place on May 29, 2025, showcasing the talents of high school students from across central North Carolina in a celebration of musical theater. Hosted by Clay Aiken, the event will feature performances from 20 student finalists, with special guest appearances by Tony Award winner J. Harrison Ghee and previous award winners Conor Kruger and Alex Fluker. This competition, part of the National High School Musical Theatre Awards, aims to recognize excellence in student performance and production, with awards including Best Actor and Best Actress. The program offers finalists the opportunity to advance to the national competition, further promoting the importance of arts education in schools.
