The North Carolina Symphony and WUNC 91.5FM have partnered to present great music for a summer evening all season long. From now until August 29, favorite Symphony performances will be broadcast every Monday night from 10:00 p.m. to midnight and stream online at wunc.org.

Legendary broadcaster David Hartman hosts a program of music recorded live in Raleigh's Meymandi Concert Hall, as well as interviews and insights into some of the finest compositions ever written.

Tonight's program features guest conductor Andrea Quinn leading the North Carolina Symphony in a concert of virtuoso masterworks.

WAGNER: Overture to The Flying Dutchman

HAYDN: Symphony No. 49 in F minor, "La Passione"

ELGAR: Symphony No. 1 in A-flat Major, Op. 55

Quinn "demonstrated impressive range with this concert, equally comfortable with delicate intimacy and full-out bombast," reported Raleigh News & Observer writer Roy C. Dicks following the live performance this past January. "Quinn infused every bar with an engaging intensity, the rhythms tightly sprung, the pace driving but never rushed. Her finely graded dynamic changes and minute focusing of melodic lines clearly pleased the audience."

North Carolina Symphony broadcasts on WUNC 91.5FM are supported by Blue Cross and Blue Shield of North Carolina. Learn more about tonight's program and upcoming broadcasts at wunc.org/programs/north-carolina-symphony-concert-series.
