WPU's Justin G. Roy Appointed to Artspace 2013 Collectors Gala Committee
William Peace University (http://www.peace.edu), a private four-year university located in downtown Raleigh, has announced that Justin G. Roy, vice president for communications and marketing, has been named to the Artspace 2013 Collectors Gala Committee. The committee will organize and execute Artspace's annual fundraiser, the Collectors Gala, which will be held on Saturday, Nov. 23 at the organization's studios at 201 E Davie St in Raleigh. Roy will assist in coordinating all details of the fundraising event, including the development of the event's theme, sponsorship participation, live and silent auction collection, and volunteer recruitment.
"It is organizations such as Artspace that showcase and applaud local talent and craftsmanship that makes Raleigh such a wonderful place to live and work," said Debra M. Townsley, Ph.D., president of William Peace University. "We are honored to have Justin serve and represent William Peace University on the 2013 Collectors Gala Committee, as we know that his creative and innovative approach will help to ensure an outstanding fundraising event for one of Raleigh's most beloved nonprofits."
Artspace is a nonprofit visual art center dedicated to providing arts education and community outreach programs, creating an environment for more than 100 professional artists and presenting nationally acclaimed exhibitions.
