THE HIP HOP NUTCRACKER Adds Performances

Due to popular demand and sold out performances of THE HIP HOP NUTCRACKER, coming to Knight Theater at Levine Center for the Arts Dec. 27-30, a 6th performance has been added on December 28 at 2PM. ABOUT THE HIP HOP NUTCRACKER

A holiday mash-up for the whole family, The Hip Hop Nutcracker reimagines Tchaikovsky's classic score through explosive hip hop choreography. A dozen all-star dancers, DJ, MC, and digital scenery bring the traditional Nutcracker story to life in a contemporary urban setting. This evening-length show celebrates love, family and the magic of New Year's Eve.

Plus, local Charlotte artists will be a part of the event!

· Bree Stallings, DeNeer Davis and Patrick Hairston will have their work on display in the lobby

· Live painting will take place at select performances

· DJ Steel Wheel spins one hour before curtain at each performance

· Local emcee, Mason "Quill" Parker, will take the stage 10 minutes before every show
