Performing arts fans can take advantage of a buy one, get one FREE special on balcony level tickets to many upcoming shows at the Blumenthal Performing Arts Center during the Center's one day Spring Tip Top sale Friday, March 27, 2009.

Tickets to select performances from the Broadway Lights Series, including BURN

THE FLOOR, LEGALLY BLONDE THE MUSICAL, THE PHANTOM OF THE OPERA, and MAMMA MIA! will be available alongside 14 other upcoming attractions, ranging from DanceBrazil and SHEAR MADNESS to Chris Botti and k.d. lang. (A complete list of available shows can be found at the end of this release.) This offer is valid for select performances on multiple-day engagements.

Tip Top Sale tickets are available online all day Friday, March 27 (from midnight. - 11:59 p.m.) or while supplies last. Tickets can also be purchased by phone or at the Belk Theater box office March 27 during regular box office hours from 10 a.m. - 6 p.m. Tickets offered in the Tip Top sale are normally located in the balcony sections of the applicable theater. Buyers must purchase tickets in increments of two and receive two tickets for the price of one (each ticket is half off the regular price.)

The Spring Tip Top sale is a one-day event. A limited number of Tip Top tickets are available for the designated shows and will be sold first come, first served. No other discounts may be applied.

There are 18 events included in the Winter Tip Top sale. Featured shows presented by the Blumenthal Performing Arts Center include: SHEAR MADNESS, THE PHANTOM OF THE OPERA, MAMMA MIA!, Defending the Caveman, BURN THE FLOOR, William Joseph, DanceBrazil, k.d. lang, Cherryholmes, LEGALLY BLONDE THE MUSICAL, Chris Botti, Bob the Builder Live! Spud's Big Mess, Ravi Shankar, Tim Wilson, and James Gregory.

Featured shows from North Carolina Dance Theatre include: OTHELLO and SNOW WHITE.

The featured show from Opera Carolina is TURANDOT.
