BURN THIS Postponed at Sonorous Road Repertory

Sonorous Road Repertory's Inaugural Production, BURN THIS by Lanford Wilson, is being postponed due to a personal emergency that resulted in the departure of one of the cast members.

BURN THIS brings to life the bohemian art world of New York City - a challenging drama that explores the spiritual and emotional isolation of Anna and Pale, two outcasts who meet in the wake of the accidental drowning of a mutual friend. The show was scheduled to open Friday, February 16th at Sonorous Road Theatre & Film Studio on Hillsborough St under the direction of Tony Lea.

All other staff and production team members remain involved in the project which will be re-mounted later in the summer. The new opening date will be announced by the end of February as Sonorous Road Repertory must revisit the performance license agreement with Dramatists, Inc of NYC.

"The delay of a major production is never taken lightly. The production team considered a number of options however due to the difficulty of the production and the standards of quality we have for our shows we felt the only choice was to postpone until we can mount a show we can all be very proud of" commented Michelle Murray Wells, Executive Director of Sonorous Road Repertory Company.

With the delay, the inaugural production of Sonorous Road Rep will now be DRY POWDER, by Sarah Burgess, about the personal relationships of those in the corporate finance industry. After a successful run at The Public Theater featuring actors Claire Danes, John Krasinski and others, Sonorous Road Repertory will bring their version of the show to the stage opening Friday, May 11th.
