Prague’s original English-language theatre and comedy festival will return for its 24th edition this spring – and it’s shaping up to be a classic. From 26th–31st May, Prague Fringe will once again transform the iconic venues of Malá Strana into a lively, international stage packed with theatre, comedy, storytelling and spoken word.

With 42 shows and over 130 individual performances, this year the festival is thrilled to welcome back beloved Fringe favourites including Pip Utton and Gareth Armstrong, whose critically-acclaimed solo show Shylock opened the very first Prague Fringe in 2002. They're joined by brand-new works, international premieres and exciting newcomers from around the globe.

One of the biggest names on this year’s bill is none other than British comedian Mark Watson, known for his clever, quickfire humour and appearances on BBC’s Mock the Week, Taskmaster and beyond. He’ll be headlining a buzzing comedy programme presented in collaboration with Prague’s own Metro Comedy Club venue dedicated to stand-up and sketch throughout the week.

Another major highlight of the 2025 line-up is the Festival of India, featuring four distinct productions from India which brings a vibrant mix of spoken word, comedy, and theatre to the Prague Fringe. Highlights include Love, Laughter & Longing, a poignant spoken word performance by Priya Malik and Simar Singh that delves into themes of identity and desire and The Chai Queens – A Tale of Love & Longing presents a theatrical exploration of love and familial expectations, weaving together narratives that resonate across cultures.

The Queer Fringe line-up this year brings bold, genre-defying work that explores identity, pleasure, and protest. Don’t miss Fckboy, a raw and witty take on gender dysphoria and trans experience; Black Dress, an award-winning solo show celebrating rebellion and queer resilience; and Deeptime Atomic Waste Pleasure Party, a surreal, hedonistic journey into queer eco-futurism.

Festival Director Steve Gove says, “We’re immensely proud of what this year’s programme represents – a truly international celebration of creativity. From big names like Mark Watson to meaningful stories from India and unmissable Fringe classics, it’s a week that will surprise, provoke and entertain.”
