Written by Artistic Director Alisa Stewart, The Velvet Gentleman is part immersive art and part musical performance, transporting audiences to 1890 Paris during the Belle Époque, when bohemian artistry and impressionism were at their peak. The production explores the life and character of composer Erik Satie, portraying him as irreverent, contemptuous of tradition, and brutally honest.
