Oregon Repertory Singers joins Portland Youth Philharmonic Camerata for a sweeping contemporary oratorio by South Korean composer Hyo-Won Woo. Written for chorus and instrumental ensemble, Creo offers a vivid retelling of the story of Creation across 11 movements, tracing the emergence of the universe, earth, living creatures, and humanity. The work blends ancient stories with contemporary musical language, incorporating elements of Korean musical traditions alongside Western techniques. Composer Hyo-Won Woo will be in residence for the performances.
