Come celebrate the music and lyrics of Stephen Sondheim in Marry Me A Little, conceived and developed by Craig Lucas and Norman Rene.
This charming and bittersweet musical revue features songs by Stephen Sondheim, the undisputed master of the contemporary Broadway musical.
The story is about two urban singles who share a Saturday night of sweet fantasies and deep yearning while never leaving the confines of their solitary apartments. Together they breathe new theatrical life and meaning into a collection of Sondheim's most famous songs which first appeared in productions of Anyone Can Whistle, Follies, Company, A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum, and A Little Night Music.
Accompanied by Brian Michael on piano, local musical theatre favorites Kurt Raimer and Leah Seligman portray two single strangers who are alone in their studio apartments on a Saturday night, passing their time with sweetly secret, unshared fantasies, never knowing that they're separated by only floorboards and a ceiling in identical studio apartments. Adair Chappell directs.
