Post5 Theatre presents its Southern take on Molière's classic, Tartuffe by Molière, directed by Tobias Andersen and presented by Ronni Lacroute/ Willakenzie Estate, in partnership with KZME Portland. The show runs Feb 21 - Mar 16, 2014.

About the Production: Post5 Theatre takes its trademark "here-and-now" take on Classic text with Molière's Tartuffe, directed by Tobias Andersen and set on the back porch or Orgon's vast estate in Molière, Texas. When the well-meaning but somewhat naive patriarch Orgon (Keith Cable) invites the hypocritical, scheming Tartuffe (Garland Lyons) to cohabitate, it's up to the rest of his family to expose the fake fervor of Tartuffe before Tartuffe takes them for everything they own.

Constance Congdon's translation of Molière's classic satirical farce of hypocrisy and zeal keeps the rhythm and whimsy of the rhymed iambic pentameter while lending itself with surprising ease to Post5's convention of setting the show in Texas.

Tartuffe will run approximately 2 hours with one 15-minute intermission between the third and fourth Acts. The show runs Thursday-Sunday, February 21 - March 16 at 7:30PM. Tickets are $15 (Sundays are Pay-What-You-Will) and can be purchased at www.postfivetheatre.org/tickets. All shows at Post5 Theatre's Black-Box at 850 NE 81st Ave, Portland 97213.

About the Company: Established in 2011, Post5 Theatre endeavors to hold "the mirror up to nature" for our community by engaging in inventive, effervescent and affordable storytelling inspired by the works of William Shakespeare and contemporary playwrights, to continually renew the magic that is live theatre for new and veteran theatre audiences.
