JAKE MICHELS is a former student at the OCT Acting Academy - his first class, "Whose Line is it Anyway?" with Laura Faye Smith introduced him to improvisation, and he hasn't stopped practicing it since. As a teen, he was cast in two OCT productions: Tom Sawyer and Tuck Everlasting. After graduating from WSU, he returned to Portland and has worked at OCT in the education department since 2008. This is his sixth year directing Impulse! and he's excited to work with another great group of Young Professionals. He currently performs as a main stage Playa at Curious Comedy Theater, directs the local improv sensation, Whiskey Tango, and is a current champion of Friday Night Fights.
