Milagro Theatre Presents Encore Of 'American Sueno' 6/4

An encore performance of AMERICAN SUEÑO, written and directed by Rebecca Martínez, will be presented at 8pm on Friday, June 4th at Milagro Theatre (525 SE Stark Street, Portland, Oregon 97214).

Tickets are priced at $20 ($15 for students and seniors) and can be purchased from www.milagro.org, 503-236-7253 or the PDX Ticket Network box office at the Hollywood Theatre daily 1-9 p.m.

The performance is an encore presentation of Teatro Milagro's national touring production in conjunction with Portland Latino Gay Pride.

American Sueño shares the stories of four marginalized individuals in search of their version of the American Dream: Augustín Obrero, a musician, and his sister Monica, struggle between living with their family traditions and searching for new lives of their own; Mimi, a drag performer, yearns to find true love, regardless of her gender identity; and the homeless Cruz, a mere shadow of a woman she once was, searches for a way off the streets. To realize their dreams, they each must decide, "What am I willing to sacrifice in order to make my American Dream a reality?"
