Milagro Celebrates 30th Birthday, 6/24

Developing local talent, hosting international artists and musicians, and producing the work of emerging and renowned Latino playwrights, are outstanding examples of Milagro's miraculous work. In 1984, José Eduardo González and Dañel Malán founded Milagro (Miracle Theatre Group), and today, you are cordially invited to help us celebrate our 30th birthday.

Emotion is limited by neither language nor culture, and through the years, Milagro has gained a formidable reputation for producing bold, compelling, and culturally relevant shows - such as our current production, Learn to be Latina! From Pulitzer Prize-winning playwrights to Drammy award-winning productions, Milagro goes out of its way to surprise, challenge, engage and push the dramatic envelope. Its home, El Centro Milagro has become a community center, an oasis of Latino culture, opening its doors as a stage, studio, and even a classroom. Milagro extends across the city and the nation, captivating, engaging, and inspiring audiences through their signature, authentic works of Latino art & culture that leave you with a deeper understanding of human nature.

Come celebrate our biggest milestone, our 30th birthday party: ¡Feliz Cumpleaños, Milagro! Snack on tapas, homemade sangria, and birthday cake; tap your feet to live, authentic Flamenco music; and take a swing at the piñata! All the while, you'll be surrounded by the sounds, scenes, and people that made Milagro what it is today and what it will be in the future. And don't forget to bring a present!

Three decades of Latino arts and culture in Oregon would not have been possible without the support of our generous donors, friends, and community supporters! So please join us once again to support Milagro, to have fun, and to propel Milagro into another sensational 30 years of authentic, provocative & vibrant entertainment!

The celebration will take place June 24th from 5:30pm to 8:30pm. Tickets are $50 and can be purchased at or 503-236-7253. Visit for more information.
