That iconic voice - the hair - the mascara! FOREVER DUSTY is about the woman who blazed a trail with her music and her belief that all men and women are created equal.

DUSTY SPRINGFIELD...

- Had hits when the Beatles were the hottest group around

- Had the guts to stand up to apartheid in South Africa

- Had her own television show (three times!)

- Had a secret that everyone knew about - her sexuality

- Had 16 top 100 hits in the UK

- Had been in two singing groups - The Lana Sisters and then with her brother Tom in The Springfields

- EACH time having hit records: In 1959 with The Lana Sisters "(Seven Little Girls) Sitting In The Back Seat" and "You Got What It Takes"

In 1962, their version of "Silver Threads and Golden Needles" reached the US Top 20/Billboard and was THE FIRST SINGLE BY A BRITISH GROUP EVER TO DO SO (predating the Tornado's Telstar by two months and The Beatles by 15 months). The record sold over one million copies, and was awarded a gold disc. Their second song, "Island of Dreams" rose to the UK #5 at the beginning of 1963 - and stayed on the charts for six months.

Dusty, then went out on her own and made hit after hit - "Wishin' and Hopin", "The Look of Love", "Son of a Preacher Man" and her last No. 1 one song was with the Pet Shop Boys, "What Have I Done To Deserve This."
