OPERETKA Premieres in Poland this November

The Operetka, or the operetta, is set to come to the Stefan Jaracz Theatre's Large Stage. Under the direction of Waldemar Zawodzinski, the show will premiere Friday, November 9, 2018.

A total of 37 total performers are set to sing, dance, and act along side of a chamber orchestra.

Witold Gombrowicz explains the importance of the operetta by saying, "If the opera is something sluggish, hopelessly issued pretentiousness, the operetta in its divine idiocy, in heavenly sclerosis, in a wonderful winging through singing, dancing, gesture, mask is for me a theater perfect, perfectly theatrical."
