Slippery Rock University is set to bring “Ride the Cyclone” music, lyrics, and book by Jacob
Richmond and Brooke Maxwell to the stage this fall. Ride the rollercoaster of life as you watch a
group of six high school choir chamber members decide who will get the second chance to live
again.
Performances of "Ride the Cyclone," directed by Kari-Anne Innes, are March 6-7 and 10-11 at
7:30 pm and March 8 at 2 pm at the Performing Arts Center, Miller Theater. Tickets can be
purchased at sru.edu/tickets for $12 for students and $15 for general admission. Tickets will
also be available at the door one hour before each performance. “Ride the Cyclone” is
presented by special arrangement with Broadway Licensing, LLC. www.broadwaylicensing.com.
Past SRU shows directed by Innes include “Junie B. Jones, The Musical” and “Tragedy: a
tragedy”, along with “Tortoise and the Hare: This Time It’s Personal” at Hobnob Theatre
Company.
The cast of “Ride the Cyclone” includes Hermes Johns as Karnak, Michael Rodriguez as Virgil,
Cameron Custer as Ocean O’Connell Rosenburg, Belle Trask as Constance Blackwood, Max
Milligan as Mischa Bachinski, Evan Jarvis as Noel Gruber, Joey Estok as Ricky Potts, and Kat
May as Jane Doe. Understudies include Sean Kelly, Sydney Korpusik, Kadence Storms, Correy
Ahhaitty, Nick Cox, DJ Rinard, and Harmony Karwoski.
