A moving portrait of two women joined at the hip whose extraordinary bondage brings them fame but denies them love, based on the true story of conjoined twins Violet and Daisy Hilton who became stars during the Depression. Music by Henry Krieger ; Lyrics by Bill Russell; Book by Bill Russell. Side Show is presented through special arrangement with Samuel French.

Pittsburgh CLO Academy Awarded Grant from PNC

Pittsburgh CLO, a leading non-profit musical theater organization located in downtown Pittsburgh, announced today that it has been awarded a four-year, $800,000 grant from the PNC Foundation to strengthen and expand the CLO Academy of Musical Theater. The funds will support the Children's School, a program of the Pittsburgh CLO Academy, which teaches children ages 3 to 10 the fundamentals of musical theater. The school will be renamed The PNC Children's School.

Written by local playwright Philip Real, Cactus is a World Premiere play, produced as the final show of their third season, by 12 Peers Theater. A loose adaptation of Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet, Cactus moves the events to the Arizona border. Two conflicting vampire families patrol the area; one working with the United States Government to kill illegal border crossers, the other protecting them. When Ron and Julie, two seemingly teenaged vampires from the opposing families, fall in love, will it bring their families closer together, or drive them farther apart? Cactus is a play about doing whatever it takes to protect the people you care about, and the dangers that can complicate even the best intentions.

When Artistic & Executive Director Alan Stanford was planning the 2014 PICT season, Managing Director Stephanie Riso suggested the addition of the Beckett classic Waiting for Godot. She knew Alan had a special relationship with this particular work of Beckett, having portrayed Pozzo for the Gate Theatre Dublin's touring production for more than twenty years.
